I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I completed my PhD in Human Ecology from UW Madison's Department of Consumer Science in May 2023. I hold an MS and BS in Economics from Kolkata, India.
My doctoral thesis investigates the relationship between mothers’ economic wellbeing, labor force participation, and union dissolutions with a special focus on post-separation living arrangements, in Wisconsin and the United States. My current work is investigating the incidence of low income debt in the US and its interaction with public policy.
In my spare time I love to read, cook, and find new eateries to explore. If you want to know more about me you can head to this feature that the School of Human Ecology was kind enough to do!
